05/13/2011 – Friday Day 8
We love going to Monument Valley as it is spectacular. We arrived in the evening the day before which gave us sometime to shoot sunset shots from the North side of the View Hotel. This is the area from where Ansel Adams took some of his famous shots. We didn’t have any clouds that evening so the shots were a bit boring.
Before going to dinner we made arrangements with a local Indian Guide to take us into the backcountry of Monument Valley. This is only allowed if you are with one of the local tribal people who is licensed to do back country tours.
We called it an early evening. Had dinner at The View Hotel and went to bed.
